Résumé :
|
In 2015, The World Health Organization (WHO) launched the first hepatitis B treatment guidelines, alongside the first global viral hepatitis elimination targets. Currently, decisions around antiviral treatment aim to target individuals at high risk of disease progression. However, with emerging evidence, it is important to re-evaluate treatment eligibility. Thus, this systematic review and meta-analysis aims to review and synthetize evidence on clinical outcomes in untreated, non-cirrothic HBV patients, stratified by HBV DNA ans alanine transaminase (ALT) lecels. This study represents the most comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis to date of chronic HBV infection natural history. Cirrhosis and HCC incidence rates were low in individuals with HBV DNA <2000 IU/ml. The incidence rate of HCC was also relatively low for adults with persistently normal (
