Résumé :
|
This special issue of "Social Policy and Administration" examines a wide variety of themes and topics which link the environment with social policy and welfare. First, though, it is timely to assess where we have reached in the greening of social policy. Three themes are pursued in this issue. The first is the nature of green political and social theory. The second one features policy areas where environmental considerations are paramount. Pathways to sustainability constitute the third theme. The ten papers presented in this collection are evidence enough of the scholarship that is in progress on the key questions concerning the realignment of social policy to confront environmental issues. They present a challenging socio-environmental agenda for social policy.
