Résumé : | The analysis of qualitative data in social science and health care research presents the researcher with many pratical questions about how to make sense of their data. This article offers a description of the use of nonmetric multidimensional scaling (MDS) as one approach to exploring qualitative data. Data from a recently completed qualitative study on AIDS counselling was analysed using this procedure and the analysis shows how the MDS procedure could be used to analyse, systematically, qualitative data. Implications for other research work are considered. |
