| Résumé : | Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions (NPIs) have been implemented worldwide to limit the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Though effective in reducing disease incidence, concerns have been raised about their unintended mental health impacts. Sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries, with already fragile health systems, may have faced a disproportionate mental health burden; yet, evidence from the region remains scarce. This study aimed to investigate the association between anxiety and NPI stringency, as well as the effects of specific COVID-19 policies. A secondary objective was to explore interactions to identify population groups most vulnerable to the mental health impacts of school and public transport closures. (R.A.) |
