Résumé :
|
[BDSP. Notice produite par INIST-CNRS R0xH2EUs. Diffusion soumise ... autorisation]. Bacteremias represent about one-third of neonatal nosocomial bacterial infections, with a significant risk of rapidly fatal evolution or secondary bone or meningeal localisations. Their treatment, started before the results of bacteremial cultures become available, is based on probability, bacterial epidemiology and their sensitivity to antibiotics in a given service. Regular surveillance of bacterial epidemiology and profiling of resistance to antibiotics of the micro-organisms isolated allows the antibiotherapy to be updated. On the other hand, continuous surveillance of the incidence rate of these bacteremias at the level of a service constitutes an excellent indicator of the quality of care.
